Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.55 officially launches on July 28, unlocking a wealth of new content; many adventurers are already planning how they will experience the new update.

This update introduces a new area - The Occult Crescent: North Horn - and the The Forked Tower dungeon (available in both Normal and Extreme difficulties). It also features the final upgrade stage for Phantom Weapons, the conclusion of the Hildibrand questline, and the wrap-up of numerous long-running side quests. This abundance of content means that in-game resource consumption is set to spike.

Gil is the core currency of FFXIV and is essential to every aspect of gameplay. High-quality food and potions are vital for tackling the new Extreme dungeon, while crafting the ultimate form of Phantom Weapons requires buying various materials and Materia from the Market Board.

In the early days of the new update, demand for new materials skyrockets, driving up prices; a lack of Gil reserves can easily slow down your gear progression. Furthermore, acquiring Glamour items, mounts, housing furniture, and gathering/crafting materials all relies on Gil transactions. Many players spend vast amounts of time AFK-farming Gil, yet still struggle to meet the needs of developing multiple classes.

Many adventurers play multiple combat classes simultaneously, and the cost of fully upgrading multiple sets of Phantom Weapons is significant. High-quality gear and ample supplies are the foundation for easily clearing side stories, large-scale open-world encounters, and new FATE content. Without sufficient Gil, you might find yourself stuck in a repetitive loop of dungeon grinding and gathering, missing out on the excitement of the new update's launch period. Instead of wasting time on tedious "grinding," why not choose a more efficient method?
